Future

Folsom is a wonderful place to live and raise a family as well as a great area for expansion and growth in business. Many projects are in the works in the community and will provide many new jobs and increase revenue for the city. One popular project is the Palladio shopping mall located north of Highway 50 at East Bidwell. Some of the major retailers that are expected to be in the mall are Barnes and Noble, Whole Foods, Pinkberry, Bluenami, Johnny Rockets and many other high-end stores. The project has been underway for a while now and developers expect stores to start opening in 2011 or 2012. There is however a huge movie theater already open and parking readily available.

A hearing is planned for before the end of the year to get the final approval for the annexation of the land.
