Folsom Lake offers a great place to spend the days of summer boating, fishing, wake-boarding, water-skiing, picnics or BBQ'ing, hiking, jet-skiing, camping, running, bike riding, horseback riding, para-sailing, swimming, or just a romantic sunset evening. You can purchase a day pass for only $10 a vehicle and $18 for a boat day pass. Annual parking passes are available for $125. Most of the parks are open 6AM-9PM and other 7AM-8PM.

Empire Ranch Golf Course is a new golf course which opened in 2002. The course features a scenic and relaxing round on a links-style course that balances challenges and rewards perfectly. The course offers a gorgeous driving range, practice putting greens, professional lessons, event hosting, private tournaments. Additionally, the club features the newest clubs and accessories along with memberships. The food available is outstanding; and in case the craving hits, is a short five minute drive from the Briggs Ranch community. Rates are available from $25 for super-twilight to $65 for weekends.

Right down the street is the Folsom Dog Park. This is a wonderful place to take your dog to socialize and run around. The park has benches, drinking fountains for dogs, shade structures, large fenced grass and dirt play fields, and also a separate area for small dogs. The park is free of charge but all dogs must have a county license and all shots.

The Folsom Sports Complex is a fun, safe, and clean athletic facility for kids and adults of all ages to better their skills and compete. The complex offers indoor and outdoor basketball courts, indoor and outdoor soccer fields, indoor volleyball and batting cages, an arcade, cafe, meeting rooms, and a special events center. Opportunities to play in leagues, participate in clinics, compete in tournaments, and learn in camps are always available and ongoing throughout the year. There is no membership fee and opportunities to drop-in and play are always available. Located just behind Home Depot next to Kemp Park. Hours of operation are M-F 10AM-10PM and Sat-Sun 9AM-10PM.

Palladio 16 Movie Theaters is the closest and nicest theater in the area. The theater offers digital-only movies which means no scratched films and no flickering! With wall to wall screens, stadium seating, 3D screens, the worlds largest solar powered theater roof, and some screens nearly three stories tall, the Palladio Cinemas offer a fun and safe movie experience. General admissions is $10.25 and matinees $7.50.

Folsoms Sutter Street nightlife is great for young and old alike! There is an abundance of pubs, bars, and eateries which attract a large and diverse group of people.
Any night you go out guarantees the possibility to meet new and fun people and have an enjoyable time.
Some of the popular places for older adults include: The Folsom Hotel, Scarlett's, and The Powerhouse Pub.
For the younger crowd try: Yeagers, Sutter Club, or The Hacienda.
There are also great pubs located around the city if you don't want all the people and noise. The Streets of London is a great Irish pub that offers fun trivia nights and excellent company. Other notable places are The Sports Garage (right next to Briggs Ranch), BJ's Brew-house and Restaurant, and The Purple Place.

California Family Fitness is an amazing workout, leisure, and recreational gym. Located just a few minuets down Oak Ave from Briggs Ranch; Cal-Fit offers basketball, racquetball, pools, spas, weights, cardio equipment, a cafe, rock climbing, child care, and a putting green. The gym is always clean and has many active members. A free seven day trial pass is available to try out the gym before you join and membership is very affordable.

The Folsom Aquatic Center is conveniently located next to Lembi Park which offers a fun and exciting day of water! The multi-use facility open year-round and offers a variety of programs for kids and adults. The center offers a high-dive, inflatable toys, a water slide, lap pools, child pools, inner-tubes, classes, lifeguard instruction, a snack-bar, and shaded and non-shaded lounge areas. Season passes are only $149 and make for great family outings!
